Make an appointment via our Consulting Room

If you do not need a face to face consultation but would like to ask the Doctor or a member of the administrative team a question you can do so via our forms Ask a Doctor or Ask a Receptionist.

The Receptionists are available to make appointments and generally assist patients. They may not always be able to give you the exact appointment you need but will work hard with you to try and find a convenient appointment that meets your needs with the resources that they have.

Booking Appointments

Same day appointments

Appointments for the GPs and Nurse Practitioners go live at 8am each day. These appointments can be booked by phoning at 8am on the day you wish to be seen.

Pre-booked GP appointments

A limited number of appointments are available to be pre-booked for ongoing issues and results. These appointments will generally run 2-3 weeks ahead. These can be booked online, by telephone or with the Reception Team. We also offer Extended Access appointments at Rowhedge Surgery and University in the evenings and weekends.

Nurses and HCAs

Appointments with the Nurses and HCAs are pre-bookable either by telephone, online or with the Reception Team. These appointments include – blood tests, asthma reviews, diabetic reviews, contraception, dressings, injections, blood pressure checks, smear tests, ear syringing, hearing tests, travel vaccinations and ECGs.

The Reception Staff will ask you what your appointment is for, this is to ensure that you are seen by the appropriate clinician with the correct amount of time designated.

Appointment Reminders and Cancellations

Over 150 appointments are wasted every month when patients do not cancel or attend appointments they no longer need or want. If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the appointment to someone else.

Via MJog our two way text messaging system:

You can cancel appointments you no longer want or can keep.

You will receive an automated appointment reminder 24 hours in advance of your appointment, giving a choice to accept or decline. If you accept your appointment is kept, if you decline this automatically removes your appointment from our system making it available for other patients to use.If you do nothing the appointment will remain.

Downloading the Mjog Messenger App gives you full access to Mjog. If you would like any further information please ask at time of booking your appointment and one of our receptionists will be happy to assist you.

Your will need to download the app from the App Store (iPhones) or Google Play (Android based phones) mjog.info/mjogmessenger. 

Alternatively: Simply text your name and date of birth, with appointment details to 07771 228097. Please note this is a text cancellation phone only and is never answered.
