Dr Nick Turner (Partner) – Male, MB ChB MRCGP
Qualified Leicester University 1984.
Dr Turner has been practising in Tiptree since 1994 and is a GP Appraiser. Dr Turner lives locally in the village of Messing. He has been a Family Doctor in Tiptree since 1994. Prior to moving to Tiptree, he gained experience of General Practice in the south of England and worked through VSO as a Medical Officer in Zanzibar. He also spent some time travelling in East Africa. As a result of the time he has worked in Tiptree, he has acquired substantial knowledge of his patients and their families which he sees as the cornerstone to good clinical care – especially in a small community like Tiptree. In common with many of his patients, he regrets the way the traditional role of the GP has been eroded by economic and political pressures in recent years.
Dr Turner has been a GP Trainer in the past. He is now involved in Appraising GPs locally and takes a keen interest in GP development.
Clinical interests include Dermatology and Heart Disease, but his main interest is the family – both his patients and his own.
He hopes to be able to travel more in the future.
