FLU VACCINATION CLINICS
The surgery will be holding flu clinics at Tiptree Medical Centre.
The Flu clinics are starting from week commencing 17th September. To give patients greater choice we are offering various flu clinics throughout September, October and November. Please book your Flu appointment with our Receptionists.
We would like to emphasise that having your vaccine at a pharmacy reduces NHS funding to YOUR GP PRACTICE. We would therefore encourage all patients to have the vaccine at the surgery.
For the first time this year the NHS is using an enhanced vaccine for those aged 65+. This means we now have three different vaccines available.
WE NOW HAVE THE 2018 Flu Vaccines for the over 65 year old's; speak to reception to book yours.
Aged 18-65, if you are in a clinical risk group (eligible long term condition) or a carer or pregnant (at any time of your pregnancy) with the Quadrivalent flu vaccine.
Aged 3-18, if you are in a clinical risk group (have an eligible long term condition, or Quadrivalent flu vaccine (available now), via a nasal spray vaccine (available after 8th October)
Week commencing 8th October:
Aged 2 and 3 via a nasal spray vaccine.
If you are unsure if you are eligible, please contact the surgery to check.
